This 'Frozen 2' Cast Photo Hints That Sven Could Have A Major Role In The Sequel Thanks To A Big Star
Frozen / Disney

While fans all over the globe are waiting for the release of Frozen 2, Josh Gad’s new post on Instagram has caused speculations about Sven the reindeer’s possible “upgraded” role on Thursday.

Gad’s picture shows the cast of the Disney hit movie while they pose with a model of Sven, who does not say a word in the entirety of the first movie. The curious thing is that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is tagged in the picture, right on Sven’s face.

Fans are speculating that the actor might be the voice of Sven in the upcoming sequel. One fan wrote: “Frozen meets Moana”.  However, Dwayne Johnson has still not commented on this rumour.

Santino Fontina, who played villain Prince Hans, was also tagged even if he was not present in the group picture. This could be a hint that Hans will make a return to the franchise.

We all wanted a sister after we witnessed the unconditional love between Anna and Elsa in Disney’s Frozen in 2013. From the beautiful snowman that Elsa makes to Anna’s determination to get her sister back after she disappeared in the snow, each aspect of the movie was beautifully portrayed and loved by the audience, both children and adults alike.

So, obviously, fans were extremely excited when a sequel was announced to be in the making a couple of years ago.

Disney’s Frozen, directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and produced by Peter Del Vecho, was a huge hit which, with a budget of 150 million dollars managed to earn 1.276 million, becoming one of the highest grossing animated movies of all time.

The celebrity cast also contributed to the success of the movie, and all the mains have been re-confirmed. Sisters Anna and Elsa are played respectively by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, Josh Gad interprets Olaf and Jonathan Groff plays Kristoff.

Moreover, Westworld’s Evan Rachel Wood and This Is Us’s Sterling K. Brown have been confirmed as new additions to the Frozen franchise.

Producer Peter Del Vecho said that the sequel will change our thoughts about the first movie. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said: “Now that we’ve been involved in it for a while, what’s exciting is it feels like it builds on the first movie,” he said. “You understand things better in the first movie after you’ve seen the sequel.”

Heres to hoping that Anna and Elsa charm us the second time around just as they did the first time. And also hoping that our beloved Sven gets the voice of Dwayne Johnson.
