When the first Batman movie released, we could not get over the iconic Batman and Joker duo. Over time and over the years, many actors have played the role of Batman in the films. However, the latest Batman starred Ben Affleck who has carried the torch of the role. But is he about to pass on the torch?

A new Batman movie is underway and will release in 2021. The story of this new Batman movie showcases more of younger Bruce Wayne and his life as a child. DC Extended Universe (DCEU) is looking for a younger actor to play the younger version of the superhero. Nick Jonas, the youngest of the Jonas brothers, seems very keen and offered to play the role.

Hypebeast (@hypebeast) took to Instagram to announce that Ben Affleck was walking away from being Batman. They captioned the post – ” @benaffleck will be hanging up his role as Batman. The upcoming Matt Reeves-directed ‘The Batman’ focuses on a younger Bruce Wayne, and will reportedly be casting a new member for the role. It’s slated for a June 25, 2021 release. Who do you think should play The Dark Knight?”

To that, the Jonas brother very slyly replied from his official Instagram account (@nickjonas) – “First name Nick. Last name Jonas”. Even though Nick Jonas may not be perfect for the role, it is safe to assume that he might make a very believable younger Bruce Wayne.

Before these rumors of Affleck walking away from Batman started emerging, the 46-year-old is said to have been both directing and starring in the movie. However, the actor backed out of directorial tasks earlier and now is backing out from starring in the movie as well.

Nick Jonas got married to Priyanka Chopra in December last year. The couple had a very lavish wedding and the festivities of the wedding continued throughout the month. A lot of famous celebrities were a part of the couple’s wedding festivities. The 26-year-old has a couple of projects lined up for the upcoming years. He will appear in the 2019 release Chaos Walking. Nick Jonas will also appear in Roland Emmerich’s Midway. Jonas is also one of the main character voices in an upcoming animated film titled UglyDolls. In 2018, Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock also confirmed Jonas’s return to the Jumanji franchise.

The movie is set to hit the theaters in June 2021. Only time will tell the fate of the Jonas brother as Bruce Wayne.
