The Comedian Chris Rock criticized Jussie Smollett sarcastically with his multiple jokes on Saturday at the NAACP Image Awards. Jussie had also been nominated for his movie.

Jussie Smollett, who is famous for his role in the series Empire had recently been arrested. He was arrested earlier when the police felt that his claims of a hate crime against him were fake.

The actor has, however, maintained that he is innocent and is sticking by what he said.

The charges against him were recently dropped by the police department.

However, the man is still on everyone’s mind. Smollett was nominated for the award for the best supporting actor for his role in Empire, which in itself is under consideration, at the NAACP Image awards. Despite the fact that he was not there, the comedian, Chris Rock, who came to present an award brought Smollett up.

He started off by saying that he had been asked to not make any Jussie Smollett jokes and continued saying that it would only be a waste of white skin and said that his career would have been at top of Hollywood had he had the same skin and the curly hair.

He further added that he wouldn’t be addressing Smollett as Jussie but rather would call him Jessie because the ‘u’ was for respect and he wouldn’t be giving Smollett that respect.

While his jokes had some people in fits of laughter, many were not so impressed. And the stars from “Black-ish” who won the award said that they stood by Jussie.
