The streaming giant, Netflix, had recently announced that after television stars, now it is focusing on music as well. The announcement was soon supported by a deal signed with the singer Beyoncé.
The deal with the pop star includes three projects which are reportedly worth $60 Million, Variety reported on Friday. The first project amongst the three is “Homecoming”, the behind-the-scenes documentary which includes her Coachella performance of the year 2018 with other stage performances as well as also allows the viewer to look into her personal and professional life, which premiered on April 17, 2019. The total worth of this project is $20 million and Beyonce has been credited as the executive producer, writer, and director.
Beyonce has also surprisingly dropped a 40-track accompanying album that includes: “Before I Let Go” and “I Been On”, along with the release of Homecoming.
It was reported by Vulture that, HBO was also showing their keen interest in the same project and was more likely to get the deal since it has a really good relationship with Beyonce already, but Netflix, Inc. won by offering a better deal.
Beyoncé’ representatives did not comment anything about the deal, neither did anyone from Netflix.
