Prior to the stroke, Singleton had no existing medical directives.

In his more than 25 years old career as a director, Singleton directed many well-known movies like Boys n the hood, 2 fast 2 furious, Poetic Justice, Shaft, Abduction, etc just to name a few. He also worked with many well known Hollywood artists like Samuel L Jackson, Tyrese Gibson, Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker.

He was also the youngest and the first African American to be nominated for the Academy Awards. In the year 1992, when his first movie Boys n the Hood came out Singleton was just 24 years old. Despite being such a young director, his movie received the Oscar nomination for the best director award. He also received the best original screenplay award.

The court document also states that his business affairs include a “lucrative settlement agreement” which was to be signed by the end of this month on or around the 30th of the month of April. If this deal isn’t signed Singleton can suffer a very big financial loss. This settlement agreement is the very reason why someone must be appointed as a conservator.

It should be mentioned that neither Ward’s attorney or Singleton’s representative offered a comment on the subject.

Meanwhile, in Hollywood, many celebrities showed their concern for the filmmaker and offered prayers for his well being. His friends Viola Davis, Mark Wahlberg and Guillermo Del Toro prayed and wished for his well being. Many took social media to show their love and support to the director and his family.
