According to the recent news that has been circulating, the two singers have apparently been beefing after Joe Jonas said in a radio interview, that the DJ had ruined his surprise wedding to Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner by live streaming the entire occasion to his 5.3 million followers.
Joe had jokingly said “’I love Diplo, but he loves his ’gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog-face filters.”
He further went on to reveal that his parents only came to know about the spontaneous wedding after seeing it on Instagram and that he is still trying to make it up to them.
Diplo shot back at the accusations by saying that the only thing that ruined the wedding was the fit of Joe’s suit. In response to this, Joe posted a single eye-rolling emoji.
From then on the speculations have been doing rounds about the singers’ alleged fight; however, Diplo cleared the rumors during this week’s episode of On Air with Ryan Seacrest by saying,
“I was talking to Joe today. There was a story that came out that he was, like, mad about me. He called me today to apologize.”
According to Joe, the whole statement had been blown way out of proportion as the English media loves to capitalize on the drama.
Diplo further defended himself by saying that he wasn’t aware that the whole wedding was serious and that there was a huge number of people with their cameras recording the whole occasion.
Meanwhile, Sophie Turner had previously laughed off this incident saying that even though they had not planned on having the whole celebration recorded it was hilarious none the less.
The impromptu wedding took place on 1st May after the billboard awards and was attended by close friends and family of the young couple. In attendance were Joe’s siblings Nick and Kevin along with their wives Priyanka and Danielle. The wedding was initiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
