DC Comics 'Lobo' to Be Directed by Michael Bay Is Under Works at Syfy

Syfy has undertaken a new project based on DC’s classic comic character Lobo. Per the reports, the work is in progress under the direction of director Michael Bay.

Along with Warner Horizon Television, Syfy, a network owned by NBC Universal is building a spin-off of the Superman Prequel Krypton around the character of Lobo.

The network is looking forward to expanding the world of Krypton by introducing this powerful character of Lobo who is reportedly set to make his debut in the upcoming second season of Krypton.

Cameron Welsh, the executive producer of the ongoing series Krypton, will be involved in scripting for Lobo and according to reports, will exec produce the series.

Directed by Michael Bay, in the second season of Krypton again, Emmett J. Scanlan will be seen as Krypton when then the character of Lobo will hit the small screen for the first time.

Warner Brothers, who have been controlling the characters and happenings in the DC universe, both on the big screen as well as on the television screen, be it as a comic series of live-action movies or series, share the control over this new character of Lobo being introduced in the ongoing series of Krypton. Lobo, in this way, has entered the development channel at NBC Universal’s cable network Syfy.

Some of the other projects that are under development at Syfy include Chucky, Death is my BFF, Wayward Children, Night Gallery, The Woods, Cult Classic and Cipher.
