Jake Gyllenhaal has shared on Instagram a behind-the-scenes video of himself putting on his Mysterio suit on the Spider-Man Far From Home set.
In the time-lapse video, the actor shows how long and complicated the dressing up process is with a dramatic soundtrack in the background, another touch of his renowned funny and entertaining attitude.
Jake Gyllenhaal wrote: “Suited up. Ready to fly. Spider-Man: Far From Home out now!”.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to be released this week worldwide and it is the direct sequel to 2017’s Homecoming. Moreover, this is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment to hit the big screen after “Avengers: Endgame”, the fourth ensemble movie which has symbolized the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one.
In this new Spider-Man adventure we find Peter Parker still mourning the loss of his mentor Tony Stark while on a two-week summer school trip to Europe with his friends.
Peter soon has to impersonate his superhero persona in order to fight the Elementals, an evil organization which uses the forces of nature.
Jake Gyllenhaal is introduced as Mysterio, an inhabitant of the Multiverse who wants to join forces with Spider-Man to save the Earth. While he appears to be one of the “good ones” on the outside, the fans of the comic book series know he is, in fact, a villain. No details about his true motives and nature in the movie have been disclosed.
The cast includes Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zendaya as Michelle, Jon Favreau as Harold “Happy” Hogan, Marisa Tomei as Peter’s Aunt May and Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck/Mysterio among many others.
