The sequel to the 2009 released movie Zombieland is out and it has the main cast intact.
The first Zombieland displayed the perfect combination of horror and dark comedy. While going through its plot of virus-infected humans in the USA who begin turning into zombies one after another. As the lead cast fight against them and finally, survive after a high pitched battle in an amusement park.
After its ending in the last part, the survivors are now shown to head towards Washington D.C. where Tallahassee portrayed by Woody Harrelson gets comfortable in the President’s chair in the White House, in a post-apocalyptic world.
The four of them, Tallahassee ( played by Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) are now getting accustomed to their new life and survive as a dysfunctional family. When Little Rock takes off causing the rest of them to go out on an adventure while trying to find her.
The trailer also introduces new characters like Berkeley ( played by Avan Jogia) who is picked up Little Rock on her way while actress Zoey Deutch is introduced as Madison, who meets Columbus(Eisenberg) and joins the three of them on their quest to find Little Rock and possibly causes tension between Wichita and Columbus who on the previous part was a romantic item.
Actress Rosario Dawson also shows up in the trailer as the character, Nevada who gives a tough fight to Tallahasse but the trailer doesn’t explain her character more than just two glimpses and the strangest and yet the best new characters introduced would be the ones played by Luke Wilson(known from films like Legally Blonde and Idiocracy) and Thomas Middleditch( known from Tv show Silicon Valley) who are very similar versions of TTallahasseeand Columbus which makes Wichita say “Am I hallucinating”.
The trailer is very well received by older fans who have waited 10 years for this part and have been induced by the trailer to have high expectations from the movie which will be releasing in October 18th this year.
The sequel has been named as Zombieland Double Tap and the dialogue ‘It’s time to Nut Up or Shut up’ delivered by Woody Harrelson is probably going to be its most definitive identity. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and produced by Columbia Pictures.
