The Fest is based in Austin, Texas and is celebrating its 15th anniversary of premiering genre-based pictures wherein the satirical ‘Jojo Rabbit’ which preaches anti-hate fits perfectly for its commencement.
The story of the film is about a young boy (10-year-old) Jojo “Rabbit” Betzler ( played by Roman Griffin Davis) who has an imaginary friend in the form of Adolf Hitler and whose patriotism is tested upon meeting a young girl who overthrows his world views thereby causing him to depend on his ally, that is Hitler. Apart from Watiti and Roman Davis, the film also stars Rebel Wilson, Alfie Allen, Thomasin McKenzie, Sam Rockwell Stephen Merchant, and Scarlett Johansson.

A few days ago, Watiti shared a hilarious meme video of a Hitler based movie wherein the dubbed English part talked about Jojo Rabbit and also very trolled Watiti’s Polynesian Jew descent.
Jojo Rabbit will be released in theatres this Fall. The video started with Hitler’s officials informing him about the movie based on him. “Fine by me..just as long as there aren’t any Jewish people involved,” said the Hitler of the video
“The actor playing Hitler is a Polynesian Jew. He also wrote and directed the film,” the officials said agitating Hitler who had the funniest response afterward.
“Everyone who follows this Taika on Instagram.. leaves now,” where a bunch of people leaves the room after which the hilarious trolling continued, “I thought ‘Polynesian’ was just a delicious chicken nugget sauce!” Hitler shouted “And what kind of name is Taika Watiti?” he asked, however by the end of the video Hitler also asked for the director of Thor Ragnarok so that they can ask him to make a film about Hitler. The meme video was also shared by Watiti’s co-star, Chris Hemsworth who was accompanied by Watiti’s character Korg in both Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Endgame.
