Shakira has announced her “El Dorado World Tour” film is coming to more than 2000 cinemas worldwide for a one-night event on November 13th.

The confirmation of the unique screening night had previously been released by production house Trafalgar Releasing.

The Colombian singer,42, who is married to Spanish football player Gerard Piqué with whom she has two little boys, has shared the good news with her fans on Twitter.

She wrote: I have news! My new tour film is coming to theaters worldwide on November 13. Can’t wait to relive the show with all of you simultaneously. Got popcorn?!

The El Dorado World Tour film traces the story of the series of concerts the singer held in 2018 all over the world. Originally, the tour was scheduled to in November 2017 in Germany but was postponed as Shakira suffered from a vocal cords injury in October of the same year.

At the time, the “She Wolf” singer informed her fans about her injury and the delay of the start of the world tour on social media.

She wrote: “Though I very much hoped my vocal cords would recover in time to pick the tour back up in January, and after exploring many options to that effect, I have accepted that this is an injury that simply needs more time and care to heal”.

The film, directed by James Merryman and Shakira herself, consists of documentary footage from her shows in more than 22 countries.

Trafalgar Releasing CEO, Marc Allenby, said: “Trafalgar Releasing are really excited to be bringing to cinemas this incredible story, which illustrates Shakira’s determination and drives from her vocal cord injury through to bringing her amazing El Dorado shows to almost a million fans around the world.

“Through a mixture of behind the scenes, Shakira’s own words and the hit fuelled shows, this film will bring together Shakira fans everywhere to celebrate her 20 years + career”

The El Dorado album has been a great success for Shakira, who won a Grammy Award in the Best Latin Pop Vocal Album for it in 2018 and the tickets for each show of the tour were sold-out a few minutes after they were put up for sale.

The megastar, who got international recognition with the release of her song “Hips Don’t Lie” in 2005, has always aces up her sleeves.
